Who We Are
District 9 is part of Area 36 Southern Minnesota, dedicated to supporting AA groups in Mankato, North Mankato, Blue Earth & LeSueur Counties. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety
,Core Mission

Unity: Strengthen communication and cooperation among local AA groups.

Service: Organize and facilitate opportunities for trusted servants (GSRs, committee chairs, etc.) to serve the fellowship.

Recovery: Help ensure that the life-saving message of AA is available to all who seek it, in alignment with AA’s 12 Steps, 12 Traditions, and12 Concepts.

If you’re questioning your relationship with alcohol, we’re here to support you. Alcoholics Anonymous offers a community where you can explore your concerns without judgment. Meetings are safe spaces where you can learn about the AA program, hear others’ experiences, and share your own story if you choose.
AA is a fellowship of individuals who share their experiences, strength, and hope to solve their common problem and help others recover from alcoholism. Meetings vary in format, but all are designed to provide a supportive environment for those seeking sobriety. Whether you’re new or returning, you are welcome here.
Get Involved in Service
Engaging in service within District 9 or even AA as a whole can be a rewarding way to maintain sobriety and give back to the community.
